Drifters - Please Stay (Original)

Drifters - Please Stay (Original)

One of the more interesting recordings by The Drifters from the standpoint of who wrote it and who was doing the singing. "Please Stay" was an early effort by Burt Bacharach who was working with lyricist Bob Hilliard at this point in his career. When the song was taken into the studio, Rudy Lewis was awarded the lead vocal having recently replaced Ben E. King with The Drifters. Two females were added by Burt for background vocals (although their voices are almost indistinguishable on the recording): Doris Troy and Dionne Warwick. "Please Stay" peaked at #14 on the charts during June of 1961.
Two drifters off to see the world. There's such a lot of world to seee!

#cosasquedebessaberdelreggae y de grupos como The Drifters muy populares en Jamaica

i like songs about drifters, books about the same, they both seem to make me feel a little less insane.
